A 4-Step In-Flight Skincare Routine

Before you touch down in the Greek Islands or roam the streets of Paris this year, you’ll be sitting down for many (many) hours in not-so-glamourous recycled cabin air - a key culprit leaving your skin feeling extra dry, lifeless and dehydrated

Regardless of how many hours you’ll be spending mile-high, skin prep should always be at the top of your itinerary - that is, if you're looking to feel refreshed, hydrated and energised.

If you’re unsure where to start, we spoke to our Ultra Skin Experts for an essential four-step skincare routine. Bonus, it features four of our best-selling products conveniently packaged in a mini size. You’ll want to take them everywhere you go.

Step 1: Cleanse

It’s no secret that dry, cabin air can cause havoc to the skin; you may feel extra oily, dehydrated, sensitive and prone to the odd blemish (all of the above, if you're lucky). This is where cleansing steps in. You’ll want to thoroughly remove all the dirt, excess oil and grime from the skin to feel refreshed and leave your pores squeaky clean.

Our experts suggest opting for a light-lathering cleanser, like Ultra Brightening Foaming Cleanser, which will refresh the skin, plus leave you looking visibly hydrated and brighter. Hot tip: take a reusable make up remover pad with you to gently pat your skin dry and wipe away residue.

Step 2: Correct

A hydrating serum is a must for reviving stressed, dehydrated skin. One that everyone needs in their carry-on? Ultra  Hydrating Serum. It’s one of our best-selling serums, powered by three different forms of Hyaluronic Acid and our iconic B² technology (Vitamin B3 and Provitamin B5).

Apply 1-2 pumps to your face and neck for an immediate hydration boost and watch your dry, dehydrated skin transform into a bouncy, dewy complexion.

Step 3: Hydrate

Locking vital moisture is essential to keeping your skin feeling well-nourished and comforted. During a long haul, you’ll want to reach for a rich, luxurious moisturiser like Ultra Moisturiser Cream which features powerful moisturising ingredients, Provitamin B5 and Shea Butter that soothe and nourish the skin.

Layer your moisturiser over your hydrating serum to leave your complexion feeling soft, smooth and supple.

Step 4: Protect

No matter where you are - even in the sky, it’s always a good idea to apply a broad spectrum sunscreen to protect your skin from damaging UVA and UVB radiation. Don’t forget to apply and (reapply) SPF every 2 hours all over your face, neck and ears.

Ultra UV Protective Daily Moisturiser SPF 50 Hydrating not only offers high sun protection, it features a vital blend of moisturising ingredients, Shea Butter, Sodium Hyaluronate, Provitamin B5 and Vitamin B3 to also hydrate the skin.

*Always follow the directions for use. Sunscreens form only one part of sun protection. Apply frequently as directed for effective sun protection. Avoid prolonged sun exposure.
